四年前，一次在擔任聖光神學院前院長呂榮輝博士證道翻譯的時候，因為呂院長國學造詣深厚，講章內容包括許多的成語和典故。有許多的詞句，到今天仍未悟出令自己滿意的英文翻譯。特藉此版請教高明。

Don’t steal, then no need to flee. Honest you will always be.
上帝聖潔要牢記

For the purity you seek, keep the Almighty in thee.

在網上找了‘順手牽羊’的典故, 原來重點在‘趁機’, 是兵家一計. 本計語出《草廬經略》“伺敵之隙，乘間取勝。”後人以順手牽羊形象化地比喻乘敵人的小間隙, 向敵人的薄弱處發展,創造和捕捉戰績的一種謀略.

Rjamesho大師之友呂博士學識淵博, 反對‘計謀盜取,連小利也不放過,對敵方的細微疏忽要加以利用’的作法,弦外之音應是‘勿趁機牟利,要腳踏實地,寬仁正直‘. 依此試翻為：

Don’t take advantage of others’ negligence to win. Do practice diligence, kindness, and honesty.
