Is this Latin...'pax et bonum' ? What does it mean pls? How can I find out.?

An associate put it on the bottom of his email to me as a 'sign off' just before his name. I suspect he is being nasty. Any ideas?

更新:

Wow....thank you! 6 answers in the first 6 minutes! You people are just the best!! So it appears my emailer was not being nasty. Thanks I stand corrected.

Peace and salvation or peace and all good. St. Francis used to say to people he passed in the street, so it isn't a yucky thing to say, it's a nice thing to say!

It´s Latin."Pax et bonum" means: Peace and Good.(translated word for word from Latin, I´m sure you know what that means, without having to translate it to the English of today.) Peace and all the best to you, anyway!

Now don't quote me on this but I believe it translates to "Peace and all good things."

He meant peace and a good thing. It's not nasty, though at a stretch, he might be stuck up or an intellectual snob.

Peace and Salvation. Very Catholic. St. Francis was big on it.
