Should Harold Camping be Charged with Murder?

If people who believed his claims commit suicide because of them? And should he have to return all the donations people have given him for his "cause"?

更新:

Some of you don't seem to understand the difference between SUICIDE and MURDER. I said if people committed SUICIDE.

Thankfully you are not a law maker.

If people believed your statement and went out and murdered him; then by your own logic you too should be charged with murder.

I believe the more appropriate charge is fraud, not murder. Whatever authorities decide to do in this case, there are gullible and troubled people in this world looking for love, answers or excuses. There are also people who prey on them, and yes, some of those people are in positions of trust. Perhaps we should ask ourselves how we should behave towards others in our lives? What duty do we owe other people? What does our behavior say about us and our beliefs? Do we know what we believe and why we believe it enough to recognize con artists and poseurs?

I am a practicing Catholic. This incident has reminded me you can't and won't know when the world will end, but you can pray and act as though it will end today. Call me corny, but Jesus said we should love one another. I am really going to work hard to do that today and everyday.

you're unquestionably suitable, the concern is that faith is surprisingly exempt from government administration. definite, if he advance into any form of religious individual he could donate to the needy. I observed a fact he made quite a few months in the past claiming..that "they" donated of their very own loose will he did no longer ask for it. As an animal lover myself the belief of putting my toddlers (2 ,2 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous Golden Retrievers) to sleep is in basic terms unthinkable, until they are very previous or in terrible soreness.

I think he is a very selfish person. He knew he had the power to influence many people. He put his superstitions on them, when it clearly states in the bible that Matthew 24:36 "no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows". He practically told the world that his word is better than gods and that they should believe him. I think that he should not go to jail, he is old so his time is coming, and he will have to face god, who will judge him.

You just ignore people like this because you wont find the word rapture in the Bible!!! Yes the Lord is returning one day but no one knows the day or time of his return!!!!!!!!

See, people like this that say things that are not true are the ones that make us Christians look bad and confuse even more, these unbelievers!!!!

No, of course not. A legal case in a secular society can never, ever hinge on the truth or falsity of religious beliefs.
