I spend a lot of money 或是 these cost me a fortune 的話我也會;但有沒有其他的英文說法或是片語可以更貼切地翻譯 <荷包失血>?

pump on the jam = 開收音機

take a hike = 滾蛋

    Commit wallet homicide

    For example:

    "How much did you pay for that necklace, Chris?"

    "It's for my girlfriend, she's worth committing wallet homicide."

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=wal...

    Our daycare teachers like to call my daughter “a silly goose” or “a goofball”. See http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=sil...

    A goose is considered silly since they get hunted very easily.

    For example:

    Zelig was such a nut. This year he wanted me to trick or treat as Martha Stewart. He is such a silly goose.

    http://www.geocities.com/waytoofunny_2000/Zelig.ht...

    For example:

    Ozzy just has a way of making me enjoy his music and the friendship we have shared over the years. He is such a goofball, but he sure knows a thing or two about making good music.

    http://www.ozzy.com/node/1995

    You can also use the word “silly” or “goofy”. However, the term “goofy” has a little bit more of a 玩鬧 or 瞎搞的性質 as in a goof ball or goof around. I also found a term “goof nuts” http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=goo...

    Beat the game

    See http://masseffect.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.htm...

Gloat (v.) = To feel or express great, often malicious, pleasure or self-satisfaction.

    For example:

    The opposing team gloated over our bad luck.

    Don't gloat over your rival's misfortune.

    See http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/gloat

    Sit back and watch the drama

    For example:

    Some people just like to cause trouble, and pit people against each other. They then sit back and watch the drama unfold around them

    I cannot add any more to my reply, so here it is.

    幸災樂禍, Schadenfreude (n.) = Pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others.

    Do I detect a certain schadenfreude among Scots at the apparent current turmoil among the English over their sense of national identity?

    1.<荷包失血>

    正統説法:

    * deplete one's wallet

    掏空荷包

    例:

    I just paid my rent, and consequently depleted my wallet.

    我剛剛交完房租,因此荷包空空如也。

    俏皮説法:

    * wallet is on I V

    荷包吊点滴

    * commit wallet suicide

    荷包自殺

    例:

    I just spent $5000 on a suit. My wallet is on IV now.

    我剛花了 5000 大洋買了套西裝,现在我的荷包在吊点滴 (奄奄一息)啦。

    Everytime I go shopping, it's like committing wallet suicide.

    每次我去瞎拼,荷包都大出血。

    2. <三八>

    最輕微的説法應該是:

    * silly, goofy

    * goof around

    例:

    Don't be silly.

    She's so goofy.

    Stop goofing around!

    3. <破關>

    根據我兒子的説法:

    * level up

    4. <幸災樂禍> , <看好戲>

    正統説法:

    * take pleasure in someone's misfortune

    例:

    Instead of helping out, she's taking pleasure in their misfortune.

    她不但不帮忙,還幸災樂禍。

    俏皮説法:

    *get one's popcorn

    *pass the popcorn

    美國人看電影喜歡吃爆米花,所以有看好戲的意思。

    例:

    A: Did Tom help out at the accident scene?

    B: No. He was too busy getting his popcorn.

    A:Tom 在出事现場有帮上忙嗎?

    B:没有,他只顧着看好戲。

    例:

    A:Look, a fight! Shall we get involved?

    B: Pass the popcorn!

    A: 看,有人打架!我們該插手嗎?

    B: 看好戲吧!

    2008-07-26 17:32:32 補充:

    我剛剛細讀了一下楼上的:

    My wallet is bleeding.

    很貼切哦!

    2008-07-26 21:17:35 補充:

    再想了一下, 如果真的要用bleed這個字的話,還有一個説法是 bleed someone dry.

    例: My shopping addiction bleeds me dry.

    我的購物癮讓我大失血。

    不過,這個用法比較有負面的意思就是了。

    Sluttish

    3. Beat the game.

    Pwned the game.

    Owned the game.

    4. Eating popcorn.

    Watching drama.

    Taking it in.

    Snickering while watching

    俏皮話通常都不是正統英文喔.
