這兩句話 有什不一樣呢？

I.最初的想法

1. We serve all dogs. 

    我們供應各種熱狗。(美國版；感謝prisoner26535的提點。)

    我們供應用各種狗肉做成的食物 (越南版)。

2. We service all dogs. 我們為各種狗提供服務。(可能是幫狗狗洗澡、美容、修指甲...吧。)

以上是我憑第一直覺的反應(加上prisoner26535的提點)。後來，我又上網去找了以下兩個可能性，但不確定是否適用於prisoner26535這裡的兩個例子。

II. serve當作動詞使用時，意指"成為(神的)正式僕人"，而service意指"去服務"。

原文：When used as verbs, serve means to be a formal servant for (a god or deity), whereas service means to serve. 

依照這個定義，1. We serve all dogs. 可能表示"我們提供長期性的、固定的服務給各品種的狗。" 2. We service all dogs.則可能表示，"我們只是提供一次性的服務給各品種的狗；例如，偶而為狗狗剪剪毛、修修指甲...等。"

III. service當動詞時，有一個長期以來為人所接受的定義是：to copulate with.。

原文：...But another long-accepted definition of service is to copulate with. It usually applies to the role of males in animal breeding. 

依照這個定義，1. We serve all dogs.可能表示"我們提供服務(例如幫狗狗洗澡、美容、修指甲、醫療...)給各品種的狗。" 2. We service all dogs.則可能表示"我們為各品種的狗提供配種服務。" 不過，因為原文的主詞是we，所以我個人是有點懷疑這個定義是否適用於此。

IV.最後的結論

太好了，prisoner26535已經公佈答案了。勇敢上來回答問題的好處是：不管答對或答錯，都可以從其他的回答者、版大，還有網蒐的過程，學到很多東西。這次學到的東西中，最可貴的就是：dogs = 熱狗（台灣普遍稱為「熱狗」，而不是「熱狗腸」）。這是比較難從網蒐或嚴肅的「線上XX高階英語辭典」...等學到的。

我想橘子小姐一定是一位英語老師．有可能會只比我慢兩年得到諾貝文學獎．

我這裡說的是一般民間習慣用法．各位大家所說字典裏面的說法應該是正確的，但是我說的只是美國民間的習慣用法．好像很有趣，所以問出來讓大家知道．

serve和service(作動詞)在以下两個含意上

基本是同義詞,沒有什麽明顯分别:

1. 提供...食物和服務

2. 跟...提供配種服務 (當然是動物,一般提供雄性)

噢! 原來如此! 

1.的serve是另一意思(提供這種餐食的意思),而2.的service 這字是沒有這意思的.

2. We service all dogs.寫法的對象是人：我們為各種狗隻提供服務 = 我們提供的服務是給你的狗隻-無論牠是那品種。
