Should I read books for Japanese beginners in Chinese or English?

    That would depend on your native language, whichever is the easiest for you. Take note that Japanese and Chinese characters have quite a lot in common, so if you're equally adept in both languages, perhaps Chinese would be the better choice. :]

    It depends on that what language you know more - English or Chinese.

    Plenty of both countries speak English
