The Rich Man and the Shoemaker,

富人和鞋匠

This story is about ashoemaker who lives in a little, old house. He is very poor, but very happy.

這是一個鞋匠的故事，他住在一間老舊的小屋中，他非常貧窮但快樂。

2. He makes shoes all day,and he sings while he works.

他整天作鞋子，邊工作邊唱歌。

3. Next door there lives a rich man who counts his money all night. ‘I must count my money,’ he says. ‘One,two, three, four, five, …’

他隔壁住着1個富人，每晚都忙着數算自己的錢，他總說：「我必需數數自己的錢，一、二、三、四、五...」

In the morning he goes to bed. But he can’t sleep because the shoemaker sings all day. So, he goes to see the shoemaker.

總在早上才上牀睡覺，但他因為鞋匠整天唱歌而無法睡覺。因此，他跑去找鞋匠。

‘Please stop singing. I can’t sleep. Here is bag of money if you stop singing！. ‘Thank you,’ says the shoemaker.

他說：「請不要唱歌，我無法睡覺。假如你不再唱歌的話，這裡有一袋錢要送給你的！」。鞋匠說：「謝謝！」。

The shoemaker worries about the money all night. ‘I must hide it under the bed,’ he says. He goes to bed, but he can’t sleep.

鞋匠開始整完擔心自己的錢，他說：「我必需把錢藏在牀下！」。他上牀總無法睡覺。

‘I must hide the money on the cupboard,’ he says. He goes to bed, but he can’t sleep.

他說：「我必需把錢藏在櫥櫃中！」，但他上了牀還是無法睡覺。

‘I must hide the money in the fridge,’ he says. He goes to bed, but he can’t sleep.

他說：「我必需把錢藏在冰箱中！」，但他上了牀還是無法睡覺。

‘I must hide the money behind the chair,’ he says. He goes to bed, but he can’t sleep.

他說：「我必需把錢藏在椅子後面！」，但他上了牀還是無法睡覺。

The shoemaker is very unhappy. He stops singing. He stops making shoes. He can’t sleep.

鞋匠非常不快樂，他不再唱歌，也不再作鞋子。他無法睡覺。

‘I must give the money back to the rich man,’ he says.

他說：「我必需吧錢還給富人！」。

The shoemaker is poor again. He makes shoes all day and he sings while he works. But … he is very happy!

鞋匠又變成窮人，他整天作鞋子，邊工作邊唱歌，但他變得非常快樂！
