"About this," in Japanese?

How would one say "about this/that" in Japanese? That is, in a context like this: "About this... what should I do with it?"

I believe that in that situation would would use ですが, e.g. これですが, どうすればいいのでしょうか, but I'd like to confirm this.

更新:

I should perhaps elaborate more. I's not necessarily "about" per se, that's simply one way of expressing what I'm asking about. For instance, instead of saying "About this, what should I do with it?", you could say "This thing here, what should I do with it?"

Basically, I want to know what a specific way of phrasing things is that brings up the topic of the sentence ahead of asking/telling the listener about it, as a sort of advance warning to the listener so that you have their attention and they know exactly what it is you are going to ask/tell them about.

Just starting with これは wouldn't do this, as you're just jumping straight in (although I suppose one could insert a forced pause after it).

    ○○についてですが、どうすればいい・・・

    これでは、どうすればいい・・・

    これはどうすればいい・・・

I think these basically convey that
