Like you, that poster is being a child and not trying to sway anyone or help anyone understand something, he's just showing an event and trying to rub your nose in it, like you're doing here. In some parts of the World, nobody has a gun. I live in one of those places and so far I have never needed to "defend myself against the tyranny of the State". Know why? Because most of the time not even the police carry guns either.

So out of 330 million people one such article comes up and the Repubs make a big issue out of it. What about the 300 opposite incidents where gun ownership has needlessly escalated a situation to a tragedy?
