  • Is there a comprehensive list of the exact beliefs of every religion?

Now that it has been ruled that a companies religious views are valid and need to be addressed legally, is there anywhere where we can find an exact of the beliefs of every religion and sect?

Otherwise how can we appropirately argue for or against certain things when we don't know what the beliefs are exactly? Some christian churces will marry gay couples, others won't. Hobby Lobby says it's a "christian business" and won't provide certain BC medication for employees, yet will invest in the companies who make those same drugs they say are bad and will buy products from countries who have ridiculously high abortion rates and laws that promote abortion (china).

Can I state that my religious beliefs are that I be nude all the time and my employees must be the same, even if I run a restuarant (it's gross you can't cook for the public without wearing clothes). Do I need to be able to show which religion I belong to when I state my beliefs or can I just say that those are my beliefs?

  • Do people not understand what "Rape" is?

Not to sound like a jerk, but are young girls really this ignorant?

Every day I see a dozen or so questions asking "What this rape" or "Was I raped", that usually go onto to giving us details along the lines of "I said no" "He pinned me down" "I was drunk" or "I told him I didn't want to". There are usually long paragraphs describing details that aren't necessary all the pretty much amounts to a girl being forced into sex.

I'm sure a good number of these are just trolls, but it seems like quite a few girls (it's almost always a girl that asks these questions) are either unclear on the concept of rape (how could you be, we've been told what it is for years and there's an entire women's network "Lifetime" dedicated to it), or just want to make sure.

  • Where are all the Jets fans who were talking smack last week?

All week we got to hear from Jets fans who were talking about how great their team was and how they were going to come to NE and dominate. Now we don't hear a peep from them. I don't mind the sh!t talking if you're willing to deal with it after your team is crushed.

That wasn't even close, the Jets could get a single TD, while the Pats had 6.

  • How did the show "insult" people with Down syndrome?

In the recent Family Guy episode. A new character "ellen" was introduced. She has Down Syndrome. I keep hearing from the right how it was insulting to people with Down Syndrome to have her on the show. I don't understand that though.

She was treated just like everyone else on the show. Her biggest flaw wasn't that she had Down Syndrome, but that she was a bossy Witch. The character who dated her (chris) Said that she was beautiful and that he thought she would be different, but she's just like everyone else, "mean" (he used another word, but you get the meaning).

Isn't that what we're supposed to do? Treat them like everybody else? She had flaws (like every other character) and she had virtues. They made a reference to her being the daughter of the "former governer of Alaska" which isn't really that much of a dig, Palin does have a kid with Down Syndrome. They also alluded to her hugging to hard, which many people with DS tend to do.

Otherwise, I don't get the insult. Please enlighten me. Actually explain it.

  • Penalty yards added onto the kick?

I'm wondering who else agrees with me, or can give me a reason to think otherwise.

Whenever a penalty is added on after a TD (lets say unnessecary roughness) it's added onto the spot for the kicker. So he gets to kick from 15 yds closer. That's really not helpful in any way. Most kickers get it to the endzone on the majority of their attempts, or within the 5. Kicking from 15 yds closer just means they don't kick as hard.

Should the 15yds be assessed from the end of the run? So if the penalized team runs it out to the 30, should they be moved back to the 15? Is there a good reason for doing it the way they do now?

  • Murder across state lines?

Ok this is a stupid hypothetical, but it popped up in my mind and I was just wondering.

If a murder was to occur on the state boundry lines, with the murderer being in 1 state, and the victim being a few feet away in another state, who's jurisdiction would it fall under? Would it be the state the murderer was in, the victim's state or would it become a federal case because it was technically across state lines?

Again, this is a dumb hypothetical, but I love what if questions sometimes.

  • What's a good way to dehydrate peaches and other fruits?

I have a dehydrator and I've made jerky quite a few times, but I'm looking to expand beyond meats. I don't know the temperature or the time length for how to dehydrate any fruits, or what preperation there is. I'd really like to do peaches, bananas, or melon, but any fruits would do.

  • Could an ineligible candidate gain presidency due to assasination?

I DO NOT SUPPORT OR CONDONE THE ASSASINATION OF ANY POLITICAL FIGURE. This is a hypothetical question.

We all know that if the president is killed that the VP takes over. If he goes down, the Speaker takes over. There is a chain of command down quite a way, in case of a huge disaster. What happens though, if someone in the chain is ineligible for presidency?

The requirements for being a senator aren't the same ones for being president, so it could happen. It's extremely unlikely but there is a possibliity. Lets use an example (no I'm not predicting the future, I'm assuming everyone knows these politicians.

In 2016 Sarah Palin becomes the 1st female president. This upsets some nutjob who thinks she belongs in a kitchen. He decides to shoot her. What he doesn't know is that the plane the Romney was riding in had engine trouble and he died in a crash. Arnold (I'm not going to attempt to spell that last name) is the Speaker of the house. He is not a natural born citizen. Would he be able to take control, or would we skip him and use the next person in the chain of command?

  • Who will get the blame?

So there are a bunch of small hick towns in Alaska getting millions for uncessecary airports because of the Stimulus package. I'm wondering who will get the most blame (Palin) or Obama.

Obama is the sitting POTUS and it's his Stimulus package. Palin was the Gov. of Alaska until recently and had oversight on how the money in her state would be spent. She's also a Rep leader and the still a huge icon that gets praise or derision (depending on what party you belong).

So who will get the blame for this money being wasted (sorry if you live in those towns, it's still a waste). Will it be the guy at the top, or the woman who left office?

  • Isn't it odd that Miss California thanks God for allowing her to sin?

Vainity is one of the seven deadly sins. Miss California has dedicated a large portion of her life to beauty pageants. Beauty pageants are the pinnacle of vanity, where ladies compete based upon their looks (the interview portion is a joke). It's a monument to vanity, which she has gladly devoted her life.

So when she thanks God for letting her stay as the runner up in a vanity contest, isn't that like saying thanks for letting me sin my whole life?

  • If you were given superpowers, would you be good or evil?

In our world, not a comic book world, but here in reality, if you somehow got a superpower (flight, invisibility, telepathy, super strength) what would you do with your powers?

In the comics, it's easy to choose the path of hero, because of the rule of coincedence (superhero's walk upon crimes all the time) where in our world the odds of you finding crimes to fight on a daily basis are slim.

Which power would you want (basic powers, don't go all crazy) and what would you do with those powers. I'd like honesty over creativity.

  • How do you feel about the Mom showing up to base with her kids?

Yahoo is running the story of the mother who is being called back for duty and bringing her kids with her. They're running the story (as have many magazines, tv shows, and radio broadcasts) as a touching piece so we feel sorry for the mother.

I know it's not very PC, but I don't feel bad for the mother. She voluntarily signed up for military service. She took the pay and the benefits without question, but now that she has to do the actual work, she wants to back out. When we first started sending troops to Afghanistan and Iraq there were tons of stories like this. Why are we now acting like it's a suprise when we send soldiers to war?

  • How would we deal with an ineligible candidate because of assasination?

To become the POTUS certain criteria must be met (age, citizen, etc). If the POTUS is assasinated, the VP takes his place, then the Speaker, so on and so forth down the line.

Not all of those people need to fit the same requirements to have their jobs though. What if the Speaker isn't a natural born citizen, or is under 35 and everyone above them is assasinated? Do they still get to be POTUS, or do we skip them and move onto the next member in line?
