A plotting software question ?
If you have used plotting in wolframalpha.com, please answer the following. When I submit an equation like x=6y-y^2, it draws the y where usually the x is drawn (on the x-axis). Is there a way of plotting this equation with x on the x-axis and y on the y-axis even though it is an equation where x is a function of y?

Hey Cidyah---
I'm not that familiar with the graphing capabilities of Wolframalpha but you might want to give Graph 4.4.2 software a try and then just enter your equation in the form of a relation y^2-6y+x = 0. This gives a parabola opening to the left and you get your x and y represented correctly.
Just a thought.

Sounds to me like you are not inputting the data correctly.
However, you may be best rearranging the Eqn in the form: y= mx+ c. Or factorise
x= y(6 - y)
I find really understanding the software a key in using all such graphing tools.
