For English native speakers. "Seldom" vs. "rarely" or "hardly ever"?

I know the word "seldom" is formal.

Is "seldom" not appropriate for daily use?

Should I use "rarely" or "hardly ever" instead?

Thank you in advance.

You can use Seldom but it's not as common in every day language as rarely or hardly ever.

If you use Seldom people will think you're cleaver though, and that's a good thing...!

is seldom not proper to daily use? it was wrong to use appropriate here

should i use rarely or hardly ever instead of seldom? if you use instead to be adverb this is not natural for native speakers coming from UK USA NZ etc

thank you ahead of your response thank you in advace doesnt mean ahead of it was pretty wrong for you to say in advance .

rarely , hardly ever ,seldom are of synonyms but they are logically diffferent senses for instance , happy glad bliss pleased they are synonyms but completely different meanings.

    She was rarely beautiful

    Barking dogs seldom bite

i have hardly ever seen her.

this is not approriate for your attending this time , appropriate means suitable for a particular person or place or condition etc

vs is not correct using here , vs is most commonly used in races

Hardly is used commonly in everyday conversation, no sooner is used every now and then, usually in a formal way. Scarcely is almost never used- only in things like a essay/exam paper! Hope this helps
