my baby boy has a problem with his wee-wee?
on Sunday afternoon i notice that my 19 months old boy was not passing urine because i didn't put him any diapers only a small short , his bladder was full i could notice his belly a bit firm, i showed it to my mum so i took him to the hospital because i got scared and a friend told me that it could be an inflammation, he was having a fever since Friday and i thought it was his teething process, when the doctor examine him he said that the problem was with his penis and he pulled back the skin of my son's penis, he cried a lot. he told me i was not doing it right but at the clinic in my district the nurse showed me another way of how to clean my son's penis and i was doing it the way she showed me, the doctor told me to keep doing like he did even if my baby cries because his foreskin was tight at the head and this was causing him to have difficulty peeing i think it's called phimosis or balanitis, but the next day i notice that his penis was red at the tip of his skin and a bit swollen and he didn't want me touch it, i got worried and took him again to the clinic in my district and the nurse told me that it's normal to swollen and red because the doctor pulled back the foreskin, she gave me neomycin cream and oral antibiotics and put cold compress on his penis.. but he cries every time he needs to pee and it seems that he is holding his pee and causing a full bladder, today i took him to the hospital again and the doctor told me that he cries when to pee because its like he got an infection on the tip of his penis and it hurts when passing urine but if i keep giving antibiotic and applying neomycin cream he should be fine if not refer him to a pediatrician so that they could suggest circumcision ... do you think he would be okay or please any advice will be very much appreciated if you've gone thought this...sorry if the explanation seems long.

I am very much against circumcision because it is a brutally cruel and highly destructive procedure that removes essential, healthy, vital, nerve rich tissue for no other reason than to make doctors rich.
I have four sons so have a bit of background on this.
In each case, we took the whole baby home.....like you did,...and good for you for being smart enough to not allow circumcision in the first place.
Your doctor should be slapped with a lawsuit for what he did to your son. Never, ever, try to retract the foreskin.
When male are born, the foreskin/glans are fused together by connective tissue called Synechia. This bonds and seals the area under the foreskin, keeping out dirt, bacteria, and diaper debris. Circumcised children miss out on this protection.
As the child ages and handles the penis more through urination, general interest, and later, masturbation, this connective tissue begins to dissolve. separating the foreskin and glans.
This is the first step in the retraction process and can take place anytime between the ages of 6-16 years.
Forcing the foreskin back during infancy is like tearing a fingernail off. Your doctor did that to your son. Trying to force retract the infant foreskin tears the Synechail tissue, allowing dirt and bacteria to enter,...thus the swelling and tightening of the foreskin opening.
The little guy's penis was red the next day because the doctor damaged it.
The best thing to do now is to apply anti biotic creams to clear up any infections. Never try to open or force back the foreskin to clean in there. It will heal if not too much damage has been done.
If the little guy has trouble passing urine, just place him in a bath and the warm water will soften and relax the Frenar Band of muscle that closes down the skin opening, allowing the urine to pass.
It is common for some ballooning of the natural foreskin during urination as this is natures way of providing a cleansing flush under the foreskin. Urine is sterile and does not support bacteria.
There is not special care for the intact (not circumcised) penis,...just a wipe on the exterior with a baby wipe during the diaper change, and never, ever try to retract the foreskin.
Please let your young man make the decision for himself when he is old enough to give informed consent.
Circumcision removes 75% of the sexually sensitive tissue from the penis. Having some hack in a lab coat slice this skin off cannot make things better.
Hope this helped

You have the wrong doctor. Find a new doctor and demand that they find a way to keep your son intact. Also, there should never be a need to pull back his foreskin at this age.. you are causing harm. Only clean what is seen. Your son won't be retractable for a few years yet.

Teething and infection? Poor baby. Keep him of the antibiotics, and it will clear that all up. If your not wanting to get him circumcised, you should consider calling or seeing a pediatrician to find out how to properly clean his foreskin. I hope it clears up soon!

Do not get him circumcised.
The doctor should not have pulled his foreskin back, no wonder your son cried a lot. The foreskin is attached to the head of the penis like your finger nail is attached to the finger. Imagine someone pulling your finger nail off, you'd sure cry and scream a lot too.
Stop pulling his foreskin back, pulling it back leaves him more prone to infection.

there is actually no reason to circumcise your son other than for religious resons...the foreskin protects the penis from infection and if it properly cleaned that there should be no problems with infection...yes it is possiable that the foresking is a little to tight but he should still be able to pee...i am in canada..and my son had an infection as well on his penis...so i took him to our pediatrician and i did ask about circumsicion ..to which he replied that there is absolutley no reason to ever circumcise your child....he has his education from Harvard so i beleive him...

My opinion based on personal experience... I don't know your views on circumcision, but my boys were cut at birth. My 3 nephews were not. My oldest nephew had the same exact problem that you are describing. My sister had to start applying the cream when he was 1. He is now 11 and still needs the cream. He is starting to have severe pain again and urologist said the only way to relieve it is with circumcision. My opinion? Get him cut now. It will be so much easier on him now than it will be 10 years from now. Of course the decision is up to you and your doctors, but I think it would avoid a lot of pain for your son in later years.

It's be easier to just circumcise it I think. Hen circumcised they are prone to less infection because bm they per it doesn't get stuck inside creases of foreskin and has less chance of infection but if you do not want to do that then just continue with the antibiotics and try should kick in quickly and he should start peeing.
