I have and HP Notebook series G71 340US, I ran system diagnostics and it shows 100% ok But there is a problem.?
As I said before systems diagnostics start up test, run in test and hard disk test show a 100%. But once on my desktop a warning windows comes up advising me to do an inmediate back up due to potential lost of files (already backed up) because of a disk damaged. Can anyone tell me more or if there is a way to fix this or should I replace the disk?

If you want to check :-
Run windows explorer (windows key and E together)
right click on the drive (presumably C)
click properties
choose tools tab
click on error check now under check now
Most disk drive manufacturers also have diagnostic software you can download
You can find out the drive type by
