Hmm, well, from a chemistry perspective you might say that 1 cubic meter of water has the mass of 1 tonne.

From a (quantum) physics perspective, you could work in natural units, where hbar = c = 1

c is a velocity (m/s) and because c = 1 we must have units [L] = [t] (length = time). We know E=mc^2, but c=1 so that means [E] = [m] (energy = mass). However, hbar is also unity, but typically has units of energy*time, for this quantity to be unitless we must require that [E] = [t]^(-1). So, in natural units we get

    [E] = [m] = [t]^(-1) = [L]^(-1)

It may seem odd to compare inverse length to mass, but it is pretty common for people to relate inverse length to energy...

converting back to normal units, we'd get something like (1 tonne)*(c^2) to get energy. We know that hbar has units of energy*time and c has units distance/time.

    so ((1 tonne * (c^2)) / hbar) / c = 2.84278937 × 10^45 m^(-1) which is in inverse centimeters..

but this is probably not so common if you are working with something that massive.

You could also look for a deBroglie wavelength in which case you get something like 10^(-25) meters.

Those are the only ways I can relate length to mass.. maybe one of those helped :]

Meters are a measure of distance. A tonne is a measure of weight. You can not equate the two. You could equate cubic meters however to weight if you knew the density of what you are measuring. In that case, convert the weight of 1 tonne to mass in kg and use the forumla: Volume (in cubic meters) = Mass (in kg) / density (in kg/m^3)

A meter is a measure of distance while a tonne is a measure of weight, the two are not compatible

There is one metric ton in 1 tonne.

There are 1000 kilograms in 1 tonne.

There are 2204.6 pounds in 1 tonne.

There are no meters in 1 tonne.

And the name of that dwarf is Rumpelstiltskin.

Tonnes are a unit of weight and meters are a unit of distance.

    do you mean cubic metre?

    if it is a yes,

then 1 cubic metre weights 1000kg which is 1 tonne---->for pure water

Depends on the density of the gravel

Please recheck your questions, as metre is length and tonne is mass
