Please express as a single radical?
y^1/3 x x^3/4
Would you please show me how you got the answer?
(I know the right one...but interested in seeing how the right answer is obtained)
Incidentally: Thanks to Eric S, Maine t, alwbsok and others for your efforts in answering these. You've increased my understanding.
(y^1/3) (x^3/4)
The single radical should have a square root sign.
The right answer is:
12th root, x^9y^4
but I don't know how to get there.
Incidentallly..thanks again!

ok u cant really do anything to this as they are different bases of x and y
y^1/3 is the cube root of y so u can write that as little 3â y
x^3/4 is the 4th root of y then cubed so little 4âx^3
=little 4âx^3*little 3â y
