Was this a bad move?
Think my cousins and I may have corrupted my younger brother the other night, we decided to get him drunk for the first time and he is only 16. I personally didn't drink until after high school (loser), but all of my friends did around that age so it seemed like a decent idea at the time. He handled it well and it was fun I suppose, not to mention he probably bangs his girlfriend and crap anyway, so I guess it isn't too bad.
What do you think, 16 too young or would he do it anyway with friends? Better with family at your own house no?
To clarify further- he didn't puke but he did feel bad the next day and slept late, but other than that it went pretty smooth. Also, like I mentioned I didn't drink until after high school and I feel like I missed out on quite a bit of fun, I was always stuck driving people around or cleaning up after parties rather than letting go and enjoying myself. I don't really see the big deal about drinking, I live at home right now again in between colleges so I never get to drink anymore, but I think it is fun and safe if you aren't too dumb about it.

I think you're in the clear and did what every older role model would've done. I got drunk for the first time at 15 and have turned out just fine. If you do this again, make sure you're aware of any addictive personalities in the family that will cause this kid to go into alcohol addiction. As long as the kid doesn't start doing it regularly and screwing up his life because of it, I doubt there will be any real serious harm. It was responsible for you to let him experiment at home instead of going out to find it from someone else in the general public. Now you know your cousin wasn't driving either himself or with anyone under the influence.

I don't think 16 is too young in a controlled environment.
I agree with you. At that age, I think it is better with family at your own home. He may be "banging his girlfriend" already, but that isn't the point. This is about drinking, not sex. He needs to learn that there are responsibilities that go along with drinking. Don't drink and drive. Don't drink just to get drunk. Don't binge. Never drink alone. You can use this time to show him that when done responsibly, drinking is enjoyable and safe. You have a better chance of reaching him than parents or teachers. You are his brother. There's a big difference.
By the way, if he didn't puke and have a massive hangover the next morning, that was probably not the first time he has had a drink.
The rest of you can bury your head in the sand if you want. If the boy wants a drink he will have one. I would rather my child drink with someone I know will look out for him, knowing he most likely will drink anyway.
If you are going to do it, you might as well learn to do it properly.

i do no longer think of it incredibly is an exceptionally stable circulate. Tejada is previous and previous his top. He won't get on base, his power is incredibly a lot long gone, and he's nearly a statue interior the sector at age 36. yet, nevertheless, I incredibly a lot had a similar opinion of all the adult males the Giants further in final 365 days. i presumed Juan Uribe, Pat Burrell, Cody Ross, Jose Guillen, and Aubrey Huff have been all undesirable strikes. and then the team gained the international sequence, so they could have accomplished some thing stunning. nevertheless, Tejada won't help the Giants offense in any respect, and he won't be a shielding improve over Uribe. i in my opinion don't comprehend why that guy retains getting important league jobs. BQ: no longer a lot. How are you doing? BQ2: such as you, i'm a Twins fan. And the Twins have made only one signing: Tsuyoshi Nishioka. i'm beneficial abuot that one, yet i comprehend that he ought to the two be large or poor.

Well you pretty much broke the law giving him alcohol, nothing that hes ONLY 16. I don't get it. We have a drinking age for a reason.
If you think he would have done it with his friends anyway, hes just as bad as you are. And no, just because its family and at your own house doesn't mean its "okay".
You call yourself a loser for not drinking until after high school. I call you a loser for not keeping your common sense.

Yea...it's not better with anyone. It doesn't matter if he's banging his gf or not. NOW he can get drunk and beat the crap out of her. You could have better fun then drinking or using drugs...how would he know it was fun if he can't remember. That's just dumb. So when you have kids your going to take your 16yr son out drinking or let you 16yr daughter get laid in you house? What is the world coming to?

Lets just hope there is some loser in his group of friends that doesn't drink so he will have a DD.

No, I think it's better if he makes his own mistakes without the help of those who should be looking out for him.
