I have heard many times throughout my life that someone had romantic feelings for another person and vice versa, but they didn't end up getting together for some reasons.

I have heard that many shippers have send death threats to writers and authors, hoping to scare them enough into making their pairing "canon".

Honestly if that is true, then those people are completely insane and don't have a life at all. If you really get that mad just because 2 fictional characters (who are not real at all) didn't get together, then there is something wrong with you. People shouldn't take fiction that seriously!

Here are some reasons why romantic love seems pointless:

Most people are comfortable enough to be naked around other people (especially friends of the same and opposite gender) without having any romantic feelings towards them at all. And most people are willing to have sex with people that they have no romantic feelings towards without a problem. And people don't have to be in romantic relationships in order to conceive and raise children. So why is romantic love actually needed?

Now on to the reasons why it doesn't seem to be real:

About more than half of romantic relationships end in break ups and divorces, and the ones that don't break up or divorce don't seem to actually love each other. Also most romantic couples tend to fight a lot. And also a lot of people tend to cheat on their partner or spouse with someone else. Because of those reasons, I'm starting to think that romantic love isn't real at all and is just another form of lust. I am a straight man, and so I have dated a lot of women before, and I still have never actually felt a special type of love towards any of them.

So in my conclusion, I think the human race would be better off if they didn't date or get married, because (let's just face it) those things actually don't mean anything.

At many jobs I have worked at, when 2 co workers starting dating each other, their relationship didn't last that long. And once, they broke up, it was very awkward for them to work together.

Because of that, I will never date a co worker at the job that I work at.

It always seems that way to me, since when a lot teenagers and young adults date, their relationship is bound to fail at some point.

However it seems like when most older adults date, their actually date people for their personality instead of looks.

To me, it seems like 30s is the best time to have kids, since you could still do a lot of stuff in your 20s that would be impossible to do if you had kids.

It seems like whenever younger adults start dating, they don't usually last long as a couple.

In society, women who are attracted to other women are not near as ridiculed and discriminated as men who are attracted to other men are.

Like people tend to make jokes about gay and bisexual men all the time, while they barely make any jokes about lesbian and bisexual women.

Also most straight women feel comfortable around lesbian and bisexual women, while most straight men don't feel comfortable around gay and bisexual men.
