I am a primary school teacher who teach English to 11-12 years old children in China.
Once, I asked my students how to say 厕所 in English."WC!"They said.I told them it should be "Toliet",however they said to me "That's what we've Learned!"
Now I have some doubts about the textbook.
Their school textbooks are divided into 6 units of study.The following is a brief overview of what they learn:
Unit 1
Q:How can I get to the hospital?
A:Go straight on the street for 10 minutes,then turn right,you can see the hospital.
Unit 2
Q:How do you come to school?
A:I usually come to school on foot,sometimes by bike.
Unit 3
Q:What are you going to do tomorrow?
A:I’m going to have an art lesson.
Unit 4
Q:What are your hobbies?
A:I like reading
Unit 5
Q:What does your father do?
A:He’s a businessman.
Unit 6
Q:What is he doing now?
A:He is swimming.

Hi,I am a Chinese Bussiness English student.Although I am about to graduate from my college, I still feel badly for my English,I don t really know how to communicate with English-speaking people in a right way.
For instance,if I reply late because I‘m checking a dictionary or a few grammatical mistakes in dialogue,will they feeling unpleasant?
