I can't sleep at night, only during the day?

I've never had an issue like this. I'm not stressed, I'm not depressed, I feel normal. I have nothing to worry about. I'm not overthinking at night. I lay in bed while my body aches from work and is completely exhausted, but my mind is fully awake. I'm not bored but I somehow can't get tired at all. Then when it hits 7AM, I get dead tired and can't stay up anymore.

When I'm laying in bed, I feel too exhausted to get up and do something since I'm awake, so I feel like only laying in bed. Yet I can't ever fall asleep. Even when I get 2 hours of sleep then work an entire day, I still can't sleep all night until I have only a few hours left til work. Is this insomnia, and would small sleep medications like Zzzquill help?

You might benefit from trying something like zzzquill or some other sleep aid.  If you do try something like that, be sure to allow yourself at least 8 hours of sleep time so you can see how you react to a sleep aid.  In many cases, you may find that you still feel very tired even if you slept all night and it can be a side effect of some sleep aids.

The supplement Melatonin is a possible option.  Your body should make natural melatonin every night.  It is a natural hormone that aids with sleep.  You can also purchase it in the supplements section of most pharmacies in a pill form.  Taking melatonin about 30 minutes before you are ready for bed might be a more natural way to try to help sleep.Insomnia has several possible symptoms and your description does fit into the possible symptoms.

You may benefit from changing some habits before bedtime also.  Avoid looking at screens for at least 30 minutes before bed.  The glare from computer screens or phone and tablet screens can impact your ability to sleep.  Even watching television can impact sleep.  You could try "white noise" to see if it helps.  Some people sleep better if there is a consistent sound in their room.  (my daughter runs a small fan in her room for white noise.  It doesn't blow on her, just toward the other side of the room.  It is just for noise)

You mentioned body aches.  You might benefit from taking something like Tylenol PM which combines a pain medication with a sleep aid.
