I started dating a black woman. I'm a white male. Things were going well, then we got into an argument.?
We were watching TV and my glasses broke and I was upset about that. But then it escalated and has become horrible where she just acts like I'm a terrible person because we watched the TV shows that I wanted to watch. She divorced and has grown children. I'm taking care of my mother who is 99 years old. My girlfriend and I do not live together. We both do similar kinds of work - in the healthcare industry. Maybe she's really kind of 'bossy' and I'm not the kind of person that will be pushed around. I have 25 years of management experience in the corporate world and in the healthcare field. Is there any chance of our relationship getting back on track. In an email I suggested that she pick the next movie we watch and she just launched into a lot of nastiness toward me. I am also an artist, a painter and she knows nothing about art. With her there are a lot of topics that she doesn't want to talk about. Any suggestions as to how to get things back on track? She's turned into a perpetually angry woman.
I've decided to end things with her. She just became too nasty. Even on things we agreed on, she wanted to order me to do them. She is very bossy. I decided she's not worth the trouble. She doesn't value education except as a ticket to make more money, but not to be able to discuss issues intelligently. She never watches the news, feels it does directly impact her life. There were just too many differences between us. Thanks for all the good suggestions. I think everyone made good points.

If it were me i would would start by getting together. Do something that will make her think of the good times, like take her to the first restaurant you ever went to or do something you both loved to do together black or white it doesnt matter if you bring back the spark that got you guys going it'll make it easier for her to open up maybe call her some old nicknames and then after awhile ease your way into a conversation ask what's changed why things are so bumpy woth you two at the moment remember tl stay calm if she gets irritated even if you don't like being pushed around try calming her down two bombs going off only makes a bigger explosion maybe have her write down what she thinks in a letter and read it and really contemplate what it says it might not be as obvious as you think she might feel like you're going to leave her or maybe shes afraid you're cheating just find a wah to better understand what's changed and if you can't fix it maybe you can get her to love it

What does her color matter. Why do you feel the need to mention it. I’ve met plenty sassy whites, latinas,Indians and mixed girls that are plenty bossy. If neither of you can compromise then move on

take care of your mom and take a break on your relationship.( what i mean give a bit of space) then just think further, if you keep trying to persuade her by letting her decide on thing on your relationship, you are just asking for further argument. you might not know she must be on something, and she what you to realize or help her out. maybe she wanted to do something but she found it hard just to say it, until she just burst out getting angry.

Dating a person from a different culture and back ground can be challenging. Everybody grows up with different expectations and ways to solve problems. . Some people get angry others go silent, still others communicate about the issue and get on with life and remain together despite differences.
I am sure you would like to be the last category. You desire for the problem to be fixed and live happily every after. I will send you a link for couples. How to deal with differences and how to solve problems. I hope it will be helpful.
