What size is my catalytic converter?

I have a 2000 jetta vr6, and I can t seem to find the piping diameter size on the exhaust anywhere. My current cat is bad and not getting hot enough to do it s job so I need a replacement. What is the in/out diameter size of the stock catalytic converter on the stock exhaust system?

    Hey dude...just so you know after market converters don't work on a VW and you have to buy a factory cat.

    If you don't listen to me you'll find out the hard way ad end up with an after market converter and still have to buy the factory one if you need to pass an emission test. There is not enough catalyst even in the good Walker brand after market converters. You'll end up with a constant P0420 code and won't be able to pass the emission test.

    you have to measure, they used metric tubing not sae.

    Hi so some don't have pipes with round pipes they have flat section openings and exit ports.
