Seriously, there should be a local Career One Stop center who may help with cover letter (and/or resume) writing, for instance. (Just an fyi that it's usually recommended to send a cover letter with a resume as the cover letter briefly expands on one's resume.)

My suggestion is to use a template on Microsoft Word. It explains in the template what to write
