So what's the 'ancient discovery in Israel that confirms part of the bible' that keeps showing up on the Y! homepage?
It appears to be some kind of clickbait - that takes you to a screen claiming your flash player is out of date (which isn't true).

Every last one of them have been frauds and hoaxes. It's a big market to milk money out of gullible believers. After the screaming headlines, they get debunked by the scientists and historians and you never hear it.

It can only be a fake. There has been no ancient discoveries in Israel that confirms part of the Bible. Quite the contrary is the truth. A team of orthodox Jews who were trained archaeologists did a lot of work to discover any archaeological evidence to see if any of the claims of the Old Testament were true. As true scholars they published the reality of what they discovered - nothing at all.

I've never seen an ad like that work properly.
I think the sponsors didn't have the money or skill to set up the website link properly.

Well, I don't see that. It's probably a targeted ad, based on websites you've visited before that show up in your browsing history. Clear out your cookies and see if it disappears.

There have been a number of things. I remember reading about the supposed burial jar of James which was inscribed "James, brother of Jesus, son of Joseph." Since both Jesus and Joseph were common names they could have been speaking about a different James but the coincidences of time, place and names seems to make it refer to James of the New Testament.

ALL prayer is out of date. It's inane, and it has been proven to have NO OUTWARD EFFECT.
Nothing has ever shown that hand-mumbling to invisible creatures is anything more than a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.
