Why aren't muslims allowed to date?

Why? Because Muslims are expected to submit to arranged marriages. The last thing Islam wants is people getting married because they actually love each other.

Simple... The wife obeys her husband's every whim, or he beats the living crap out of her.

Well, I'll combine the answers from Muslims: 'Cause God says so, dating means your marriage ends in divorce, dating is not useful, dating means you do bad things such as hugging.. and you'll get hiv/aids lol.

Muslims are hilarious.

There are many Muslims who have casual sex and who are

boyfriend and girlfriend but it's not publicly announced like

marriage.

Dating is getting to know someone which is okay

It's only haram if you touch each other and do sexual things before marriage

The husband can use the camel whip to control his wife, and then get other wives. He's also allowed to have temporary "wives" that are really prostitutes. It's a Muslim man's world, why bother with dating?

Salam Because dating just like in western countries tends to do bad things such as hugging and kissing non mahram opposite gender where in Islam it is called "approaching zina/fornication" which is haram.

Dating is pretty much a Western thing. Around the world, lots of cultures still practice arranged marriages. Comparing divorce rates between them, our system of dating doesn't seem to work as well as theirs does. Of course there are a bunch of other things that factor in.

Because that would be fun, and we all know that any kind of fun is haram in islamic mythology.
