Do you agree with the statement that a Bachelor's degree today is equivalent to a high school degree of 20 years ago?

更新:

My take: In terms of knowledge and experience gained, of course the answer is (and will always be) no. However in terms of general commonality among the American population, I would say yes. This is because a bachelors degree now isn't as rare as it used to be, as so many institutions and community colleges/online learning are providing people who didn't have access to this education a chance to learn.

No. As someone who teaches colleges students and who graduated from college over 30 years ago, I can guarantee that it's not true.

However, I've seen evidence that considerably more was expected of students in the 1950's and 60's. The quality of senior theses, for example, was strikingly better.

My foreign colleagues say the same. They think much less is expected of students in their countries now than was expected of their grandparents.

Yes, I was not hired for anything remotely interesting until I got my masters. I'm seriously now considering getting my PhD.

No, I would not agree with that. A college degree is better.
