Why is my Jetta making a rattling noise?
I have a 2000 vr6 2.8. Drives perfect no issues dumped a ton of money to get it running good.
But every since I got it it makes a rattling noise at idle.
Check Engine light is on- need a new catalytic converter
Abs sensor is bad as well.

Could be the cat broken up inside and rattling, crawl under the car and bang on it with a rubber hammer to check. If it's in the engine it's time for timing chains and guides.
