Should I take SAT Chinese with Listening as a native speaker from a Chinese-speaking country?
I'm a native Cantonese speaker from Hong Kong and I'm wonder if it would increase my competitiveness as an applicant if I take the SAT Chinese with Listening. Although Cantonese is my native tongue, I still have a good command of Mandarine (which is tested on the SAT Subject Test). So I wanted to know if colleges would still be impressed? Thanks!

You should think of the SAT II Subject tests an opportunity to show off. Universities might be impressive if you score well. Since almost all the people who take this test are native speakers, the score range is pretty high. Because you are a native speaker, colleges will be less impress than if you have master Mandarin on you own.

Depends on how good you are at Mandarin. Things will be worse if you failed the test!
