Initially yes, then the body directs all the things you've had to eat/drink based on its needs and what it can get from those things. Some are passed on through and excreted as waste, some are broken down and nutrients absorbed, before anything left exists the body as waste.

    No.

'Nutrients' in your food are absorbed into your body as the food, mixed up with any liquid you drank, passes along your intestines.

Water isn't absorbed until the mixture (called 'chyme') reaches the last part of your gut, which is the 'colon'.

Anything that's left after the water has been extracted, goes down the toilet as 'faeces'.

They all go to the stomach, where they are broken down and then absorbed in the small intestine.
