What are signs of bipolar disorder?
I dont know if im just depressed of have bipolar disorder, but its taking a toll on my life and my relationships. What are some good signs of bipolar disorder. I kniw what webmd says but id like to hear from people.

Signs and symptoms of bipolar disorder are depression, exteme impulsiveness, mood swings and euphoria. If you notice intense manic behavior after a depressive state, it could be bipolar disorder. Seek for proper diagnosis.

Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder which effects a persons mood and is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain. In bipolar disorder a person has mood swings from depression to mania which have to last 7 days each to be diagnosed but generally last weeks or months at a time. I developed bipolar when I was 15 and diagnosed at 18, when I was depressed I would sleep constantly, cry, wouldn't leave bed for days, didn't eat, wash, dress, constantly felt suicidal, hopeless and worthless, withdrew myself from family and friends and stopped going to school. This lasted for 6 months. Then I switched into mania when I was constantly full of energy and felt like I was on top of the world I was so happy, didn't sleep for days and if I did I would sleep up to 3 hours only but felt completely awake and full of energy, went out every night abusing alcohol and drugs, got into meaningless relationship, had sex with strangers, had so much confidence, spent every penny I had and even stole from my mum, shop lifted, racing thoughts, aggressive and irritable, psychotic when I would hallucinate and be delusional to the point I stabbed myself and almost my boyfriend, I was constantly doing one thing to the next and I nearly failed college. This lasted for 4 months. Bipolar disorder is something that is very severe and effects your everyday life. I ended up being hospitalised because I was psychotic, hallucinating and delusional.

Also try learning and doing new things; start small and this will give u a sense of achievement. .. Visit yourlifeyourvoice.org to talk to a free online councellor.. Look up exercise and depression online it releases endorfins which improve mood and brain chemistry. and Art Therapy; channelling what ur feeling into something creative helps ur brain process the negativity in ur head. also find some volunteer work; helping others or nature builds selfesteem, gives life new meaning gives perspective and good karma... u dont have to believe in god but finding some spirituality can really help and good karma is a good start... basically research all u can on depression then when u find things that help come on here and share with the other deprrssed people, more good karma. Why not join clubs groups and activities in ur community where you ll meet like minded people. Or challenge urself by joining groups u wouldnt normally be interested in. good luck and dont be afraid of going to ur doctor, be totally honest and they ll understand and be able to help; medication can work wonders, like lifting a weight from ur shoulders.

Well Bipolar disorder which i have is more like you have lots of mood swings and depression is more feeling hopeless and or worthless all the time. To deal with both you will need to have some coping skills that is saying if meds are not an option

Not sure. I had been identified w/ this I had plenty of the same problems about that age the entire method until my early 20's i might get rather mad and simply hit my pals for no intent. You can also need to have your mom and dad to take you to the healthcare professional considering it's feasible of each. Good success considering the fact that i know the mood swings should not fun in any respect. If this is the case they are saying to search out anything to focal point on artwork is good to stability your mind. They talk in regards to the meds i under no circumstances took mind i just put confident individuals in my existence. It quite does support

Depression should be temporary and you know when your depressed. You dont feel like your normal you. When your bipolar you dont really know it unless yiu were diagnosed with it.
