Garmin Nuvi 660

I have the above GPS that I used in US. I like to know if I take this to Taiwan, where can I find a map for use with this machine ?

To Lily, I just like to know whether in Taiwan, there is a version of map of Taiwan that I can use with my GPS. I think, even if my GPS is in English, as long as the map is compatible with my GPS, I might still have the chance to with it my GPS.

To lkk, I wonder whether you have any comment on Lily's saying. Especially for the portion that my GPS is in English. I wonder whether the display might cause problem.

    台灣也有賣660中文版,回台可以從拍賣或garmin公司買地圖,也可以跟有緣朋友借用

    just wondering, with English version GPS and maps in Chinese:

    I believe that it will display maps in Chinese (since it is a graphic file) ok,

    But will it anounce the street names/instructions in English or Chinese or you can choose either??

    I don't think your GPS will work in Taiwan, as it's only in English version,

    even if's in Chinese, you will not be able to use it at all.

    Because it desn't contain map of Taiwan, therefore, how will you use it?

    Myabe you can contact Garmin to see if they can send you an updated file for you to use in Taiwan.

    I think if you can get a CD from Garmin for you to use it in Taiwan then you'll be able to use it, just like driving a car in Taiwan, if a car got navigation , can it use it in Taiwan?
