csc^ * x/2 = 2secx??
I don't understand how to solve this question. I am unsure how to even start this problem let alone finish it. I need two angles within 0 to 360, and more importantly, I need to understand HOW to do this.
the first equation michelle. sorry. :D
solve for x, thank you. ^_^

mm is the problem csc^(x/2) = 2 secx?
OR (csc^x)/2= 2 sec x?
can you please rewrite the question to clarify thanks :)
****im so sorry one more thing.. are you trying to solve for x or prove that one side equals the other?
okay i LOVE trig but this has to be one of the weirdest questions ive ever worked on.. so far this is what i got.. but i did get stuck on the last part.. so i couldnt quite finish the entire thingg :(( im super sorry.. but anywho...
so, my goal is to bring (x/2) down so apply log on both sides.
csc^(x/2) = 2 sec x
(x/2) log csc x = log 2 sec x <-- ( i put the extra "x" in front of the csc cause im pretty sure theres suppose to be an "x")
so,
(x/2) log csc x = log 2 sec x
now divide log csc x on both sides & not that sec= 1/cos & csc= 1/sin
(x/2) = log 2 sec x/ log csc x
(x/2) = log 2 (1/cos x)/(1/sin x)
multiply by the reciprocal for (1/cos x)/(1/sin x) so,
(x/2) = log 2 tan x
***also note that sin/cos = tan
now multiply 2 on both sides so,
x = log 4 tan x???
& from there i got stuck :((( im super sorry!!!! i tried showing my friends & they also said this is a weird problem :(( seriously recommend asking your teacher! cause i would like to know what the solution is too lols.
BUT if you have any other questions feel free to email me.
