Body of deceased not allowed to be viewed by family...?
Is it legal for a funeral home to refuse to allow the family to view the body of their loved one?
No will and no diseases. The sister was a nurse and said she had seen worse than what hanging would do but was still denied. I can't figure who identified the body if the next of kin weren't allowed to view. They might suggest the family not view even if the casket is closed at the service but to deny viewing doesn't seem to be their right do you think?

It may be legal in the case that the body is not in good condition to be viewed; for example, if the body was brutalized or otherwise disfigured, the funeral home may refuse to allow the body to be viewed. I'm not 100% sure, though.

In some circumstances, yes, I'd imagine so. One would be if the will stipulated that the body not be viewed. If the person who died set that up, I'm fairly certain that a funeral home could honor that.
Another possibility would be if the body was not prepared for viewing. The reasons could be cosmetic, or they could deal with safety and health.
Another would be if there were certain hours. If the proper personnel was unavailable, they likely would not open the casket for you. Bummer? Maybe.
Did you ask them why they were saying no?

Never. Once in heaven you are of the spirit, all attributes that pertained to your prior Earthly life are gone. Furthermore, you will not even remember any of your Earthly events. The above is very important since you no longer remember pain, suffering, problems etc... Heaven is being "brought back into perfection"; glory and praise to our God! Finally, the only thing we bring with us to heaven is our identity; that is "spiritual identity" not physical. When you hear of friends or family members who have passed away returning to Earth to visit it is a form of manipulation created by satan; the entity you have encountered is a demon. God bless'

No. Not legit at all. They cannot deny the family from seeing their loved one. It would be a good idea to find out who or what is exactly is in that coffin before it is too late.
