Not all did. My son went to Junior High a year ago, part of his K - 8. There are still Junior Highs in my area. The schools that are now including 6th grade, in addition to 7th and 8th, tend to call it Middle School. In some cases private schools (K - 8) include 6th because they can charge higher tuition for the Middle school than the elementary school. (That's the only reason I can see for that change, all of the K - 8 is on one campus, and traditionally junior high grades charge higher tuition.) Some public elementary schools ran out of room so they moved the 6th grade classes to Junior Highs and changed the name to Middle Schools.

Junior high was what we had traditionally and it was grades 7-9. But later they decided to start including 9th grade as the first year of high school, and many places also moved 6th grade out of elementary school and grouped them with grades 7 and 8. And I guess the term "middle school" probably seemed more appropriate now that the schools had younger students.

To deal effectively with this you choose the help of the workplace. what kind of discipline does the college help? i've got labored in colleges the place that they had effectively no help, to high schools the place there develop into distinctive help. you ought to artwork interior the context it incredibly is there. while i develop into youthful i assumed that i ought to attain out and manage even the main disruptive pupils. specific, that is finished, often -- if there is largely one or 2, yet then you definitely run right into a classification with a dozen! yet what develop into extra substantial that I discovered is how costly even one disruptive student is the academic technique, and how plenty such disruption impairs the academic of everybody interior the class. while the disruptor(s) isn't responding to despite you could locate the money for to do interior the college room on the time (and that variations day by day, situation-to-situation)-- have that person pulled from the class. you have not have been given the final as a instructor to impair the academic adventure of all the different pupils interior the class for any substantial length of time as a fashion to handle disruptive impacts. * * * there are various methods for managing disruptions -- incomes the honour of scholars is serious. yet each college, each 12 months, each classification and on a daily basis is distinctive. you ought to artwork interior the context which you have. take a while to examine coaching conduct and methods that artwork on your college. All methods artwork in some places and cases and not in others. of path detention works -- exceptionally while the detention places have the right psychology. yet they don't artwork in the event that they are merely dumps the place slackers and disrupters feed off one yet another.

middle school is from grades 6-8

    jr. high is from 7-9

it all depends on the location of your school because up north it's middle school

and down south it's mainly jr. high.

i personally like middle school better because it allows you to fully prepare yourself for high school while in jr. high you're a freshman you don't really take it seriously.
