Old Testament Divisions

This is just another interesting view point. There can be many other interpretations too.

The Four Yugas, (the four ages) that run in one's life begin with "Sathya Yuga", the age of truth where one is child like and focused primarly upon his taste assuagence and then it seems all are good and noble beings to him/her.

In the second class compartment of "Threta Yuga", one does sacrifices or Yajnas, to accomplish his seemingly longer distant aims and goals.

In the third class of "Dwapar Age" it seems as though Thantras or Tactics are important to achieve short distant goals. Semitic and organised trials done with achievement orientation seems a good motivator at this time. If one sees having a bigger stomach as greatest achievement, Sankaracharyar's "Udara nimittham Bahukrutha Vesham" (Various roles for the sake of stomach) is something thoughtworthy here.

In the fourth class of "Kali Age", one seems to have become a monkey minded devottee of Kaali (The Empowered Womanish Nature of Prakriti) for day to day existence and filling stomach for day to day existence.

Those who adore "Hanuman" say, this fourth compartment is the easiest and stress free compartment with all the comforts and contentment. There is no responsibility but just needed to please the Boss (God) alone.

And then in the fifth compartment is the "Pralaya Age", the age of flood when one again becomes an innocent baby child who knows nothing, knowing everything. (Imagine the picture of "Baby Lord Krishna" the small child as Vatapathrashai (one who sleeps on a leaf above the flood innocently in complete Bliss)

1 - god made the earth and the people to live on it

2 - genealogy

3 - god gave people laws

4 - the people god made were imperfect and couldn't follow his perfect laws, so he killed them all in a flood
