Question for all you crafters out there................?

Can plastic canvas fit in the top of a Mason Jar lid? My daughter wants a bug keeper and i thought of a Mason Jar, if plastic canvas will fit in the top, I'll just trim some that you buy at the store and have a nice bug keeper for her.

    I think a lot of bugs will be able to fit through plastic canvas. How about just a piece of fine tulle or cheesecloth instead? Don't forget to let the bugs go after awhile back to nature.

    I think it will fit if you cut a circle the same size as the lid insert. If not, use some nylon netting or screen mesh.
