I've just received my first threatening email, should I consider myself one of the 'gang' now?

Here it is:

Hello thing55000,

You have received a message from another user!

From: vitalsign77

Subject: Look here you ******* ****

Message: You are ******* with the wrong ****** whore, you report me one more time on yahoo and i will tear your ******* heart out and choke your kids to death with it.

~*~

Strong stuff, eh, especially the bit about feeding my asterisks to my children. The asterisks came with the email, don't know if it was him or Yahoo's own filters.

The 'Question' was a solicitaion for a female to join him and his slave-woman for sex. I said I was reporting him for advertising, and got this message after the question was deleted.

Other emails I receive (even from the guys in Women's Studies who can be so naughty) have always been courteous, even in serious disagreement!

The question was deleted promptly, which shows that Yahoo's system does work. I've sent them a copy of this too, for giggles (and action)!

Guess I'm not his type!

Thanks for that info sOuL dOcToR ~ thankfully it was NOT that same guy. Your troll sounds as nasty as the one who contacted me ~ Yahoo really needes to find a way to deal with these threats of deletion. The new system seems to be a little better, I don't see so many complaints from innocent people who are targeted by others! :-)

    I have had abusive replies to some questions but never on e/m.

    I answered the question you mention and suggested that he "fetch his own coffee".

    No reply to that.

    Oh dear. There are some people in this world. Welcome to the Club, Dearest, and even the most polite of us can get hate-mail (eek). Well done sending it on to the Y!A Gods for prompt action and keep a copy for yourself. Just make certain none of your vital information is visable on any of your Yahoo accts, even the original one.

    You are now officially initiated as a member of YA. I have got a few strange emails, but none as abusive as yours. Obviously, it has been sent by some loser who has no life and has to resort to abusing women over the internet, because they probably don't have the guts to even speak to women in 'real' life.

    Welcome aboard... I wonder if these types of people think they are really frightening?

    I've still got my own pet stalker emailing me on almost a daily basis.

    If you get really bored, it can be fun spell checking their messages, and correcting grammatical errors, then send it back with a grade... That gets 'em really fuming (I need a hobby!)
