Is it better to combine work and family or is it better to keep it separate?

Best to do your work as an offering to God (also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc.) and raise your children as God conscious children. And love your wife as she is a loving servant of God. If we put God in the center of all of our activities, then we will be happy and satisfied, and God will lead us in having balance in all we do. It really depends on you occupation how much your family needs to be involved in it. But Put God first.

Keep it separate. yeah, if you want to talk to your family about how your job is going or if you are having a rough day - fine. But, never work together. I have never seen this truly work out. It is too stressful and you can never get away from one another. I notice everyone wanting a break from each other after the work day and not truly spending wonderful time together as a happy family.

It depends on what you do.

My way of doing this is to TRY to keep it seperate. Of course, when you are sharing your day with your significant other, you tell of the Highlights of your day and if you're at work ALL day then that would be what you would talk about. Do not bring the Stresses of or from work home with you. That can be a relationship breaker.

i think its better to keep it seperate..a family's relationship might get harmed if you combine work into it...work may cut into family time.

Depends on what you do for a living.
