Bagged salad?
I discovered the convenience of eating bowls of bagged salad, however is it considered healthy? What other foods would be good to supplement the salad that doesn't have to be cooked in anything bigger than a microwave or toaster oven? Does adding like ranch dressing to the salad and some croutons make it pointless?
I lift weights and ride a bike 10-15 miles a day and occassionally run, but I am fighting a losing battle against wendy's, taco bell, and my own deep frier. Losing definition so to speak, and it has to be due to my poor eating habits.
Say I wake up and have some special K and a banana, have a bowl of bagged salad for lunch, and maybe dinner would that be fine? What kind of meat or other foods would I need to have to remain healthy?

Bagged salads are just as healthy as the fresh ones. However, the fresh salads might be better because it may not have been sitting there for a long time.
Since you have a toaster oven baked foods are really good! You can bake fish, chicken breast, turkey, toast some wheat bread, and bake eggs.
Just season the food with some seasonings you like and pop it in the toaster oven until done.
You can also bake the chicken and turkey ahead of time and reheat for sandwiches later (wheat bread, some mustard, lettuce tomato, and chicken.
For the microwave you can make popped popcorn without butter for a snack or scramble an egg. (crack an egg, season, cover and put in microwave for a few minutes)

Edit: the meats i mentioned above are healthy if not cooked with too much oil. Also, a good diet consist of 1200 calories. Make sure you add in some fruits and vegetables into your diet. As for only having salad for lunch, i think that would be very little. Try a salad with a sandwich on whole wheat bread, and a boiled egg. As for special K for breakfast, try switching it up everyday. Oatmeal is a really good breakfast. Eggs are good, but in moderation.
