  • Did SARS-COV-2 escape from the Wuhan Institute of Virology?

In 2012, six miners in the Mojiang mine in southwestern China’s Yunnan province fell ill after spending more than 14 days removing bat feces. Three eventually died.

Subsequently RaTG13 virii were collected from the area in 2012/2013 by researchers from the lab of Zheng-li Shi at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). In addition, medical samples taken from the miners were sent to them by Kunming University Hospital. Wuhan is approx. 1,200 miles from the caves.

Researchers at the WIV have experimented with live bat viruses (capable of infection) in monkey and human cells. They have also performed many recombinant experiments with diverse bat coronaviruses. Such experiments have generated international concern over the possible creation of potential pandemic viruses.

The Shi lab at the WIV were sequencing RaTG13 genome in 2017 and 2018. RaTG13 is 96% identical to Sars-Cov-2. Crucially, no outside researchers knew about RaTG13 until January 2020.

The WIV was also working with a virii sequence MP789 found in 2019 in a Malaysian pangolin from Guangdong province.

MP789 has an almost identical sequence (but just that sequence) to that of SARS‐CoV‐2. For this to occur naturally, the two viruses must have infected the same cell in the same organism at the same time.

And yet that kind of recombination of virii has been done in labs for over 20 year. WIV has been that with coronavirii since at least 2007.

  • Will the media cover President Biden as they did Trump?

Going back to the 2016 presidential campaign it was obvious the mainstream, elite media--The NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, et al--were in the tank for Hillary Clinton.

Liberals actually think the opposite is true, that these media companies carried water for the Trump campaign. These media companies literally had reporters "fact-checking" his comments 24/7.

Take for instance the narrative that claims Trump described immigrants as "rapists".

A WaPo "Fact Checker" from July 2015 is called "Donald Trump’s false comments connecting Mexican immigrants and crime."

    Here is Trump's quote:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

The way the Post reporter tried to "fact-check" Trump was by reinterpreting his quote in a bad light.

The reality is that some people who cross the U.S. border illegal do smuggle drugs, are involved in human trafficking and are criminals. That's no secret.

And yet with Biden, the media will take the opposite approach, reinterpreting his policies and words in the best possible light. It's not amnesty, it's "immigration reform". It's not open borders, it will be a "deportation moratorium."

And they will do this with other Biden policies as well.

  • Are Trump supporters really White Supremacists?

I honestly think that the media, academics, liberals, Democrats are just using that term to scare people.

Most conservatives are not racists, but the evening news wants you to believe they are.

    why?

  • Do girls mature faster than boys?

Is this true? I don't think it's the case, but I do think that girls think they are more mature at, let's say 16, than their male counterparts. So girls at 9/10 years-old, are playing with barbie dolls and having sleep overs, but by 12/13 they're putting on makeup and experimenting with sex. They go from being little children, then 3 years later the same girl thinks she's basically an adult woman.

I also think that teenage girls rebel in more dangerous/risky ways than teenage boys. A teenage boy might rebel by smoking weed, or ditching class. But a girl will rebel by going out clubbing with a fake ID and dating a much older guy, or some tattoo artist or something, and instead of smoking weed, she's snorting cocaine at 2AM on a Wednesday. It's like there's no middle ground. A teenage girl can't rebel by reading comic books in class or something, she literally has to think of the worst/riskiest way to rebel. Why is that?

  • Am I moving too fast with this woman?

I recently started dating this girl. We've been dating for about 1 week. We've already slept together, we had breakfast, I helped her paint her apartment. She's everything I've always wanted in a partner. But are we moving too fast?

We are both established professionals, with our own lives, but she just left a job where she traveled frequently for about 1 year, so I gather she has not been dating recently. I suppose I'm the first man to come along into her life in a while.

That said, I've got a lot going for me and it would be nice if I could be with this girl, but what's her motivation in seeing me? Is it just the novelty of the experience, or is the stage she's in right now conducive to an LTR with me?

I'm inclined to think it's the latter, but what do you think?

  • If Obama is a socialist...?

Marxist Kenyan Muslim, why isn't Mitt Romney using that every hour of every day to get Obama disqualified from running. Why, he didn't even mention Obama being a Kenyan even once during the RNC convention. In fact, other than vague allusions to "redistribution" or "class warfare", Romney has not used the Socialist moniker much at all. So it seems to me Romney could be in the tank for Obama as well.

I know that if I believed Obama was a socialist Muslim, I'd be upset that he was doing so well in the polls and have to attribute his success to paranoid conspiracy theories too.

Could the truth, the reality of the situation, be that Obama is simply a moderate Democrat who in fact could have been a Nixon or Eisenhower Republican (if Obama had been white); that he's naturally affable and most Americans tend to agree with his views on taxing the rich, and limited government intervention in the economy in order to ensure corporations also play by the rules?

But that view just makes too much sense.

  • What John Hughes Character would Paul Ryan Resemble the most?

Considering he graduated high-school in 1988, and he's from Janesville WI, a few hours outside of Chicago, he totally could've been in one of those 80's John Hughes' movies, like Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Weird Science, The Breakfast Club, or Sixteen Candles.

The most obvious would be Jake Ryan, of course, (they even have the same last name, lol!) the popular jock whom has captured the eye of "invisible" Samantha in "Sixteen candles."

But I think he's most like Ferris Bueller from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"; you know: the winsome underachiever who's too cool for school, always the "Bain" (get it!) of Principle Rooney!

    Thoughts anyone?

  • How to get rid of an annoying friend?

I have this crazy friend who is kind of kooky, but good for a laugh. He's always going on about aliens and spaceships and time-travel and what not. He never even wants people to call him by his real name, and keeps telling everyone to call him 'the doctor', which is just stupid since I know he's never even attended university.

I've sometimes even caught him walking out of one of those old-styled police call boxes they used to have in England, which is even stranger because no one makes those anymore.

He likes to dress really weird too. Like he'll wear a blazer, right, with tennis shoes, instead of actual dress shoes.

This one time, right, he barges into my house at like 3 in the morning, he looked wild and crazy, you'd think someone was trying to kill him. But then he starts going on and on about astro men or something. He even had some sort of metal tube thing in his hand that kept vibrating and making weird humming noises. I can only imagine he was at some-sort of drugged-up gay sex party or something. Really, I don't know why I even opened the door.

Anyway, my dog disappeared a few days ago, a wonderful choc-spaniel, and I'm pretty sure he had something to with it. He kept telling me how there was something wired about the dog, that he'd seen it sometime in the past, or something. Of course I told him it's just a spaniel that I got from the shelter a couple of years ago, it's a really nice and well-behaved dog. But he was warning me about the dog, saying the usual alien crap.

I've finally had it with him and this is definitely the last straw. I'm thinking of calling the RSPCA or the cops or something. That guy is just way too creepy to be out on the streets.

  • Why is Romney Running?

away from his years at Bain Capital

I mean, he exemplifies the monied finance elite who became massively wealthy after Reagan deregulated Wall Street in the '80's, and which made leverage-buyout and private equity companies possible.

He is the vision of Reagan conservatism come-to-life, so why would he be running away from that. So a few little people got laid-off and some companies they bought went bankrupt.

Who cares? Isn't the important thing that a few people at the top, like Mitt Romney made millions of dollars?

After all, their wealth is going to "trickle-down" to the little-guy. What's so wrong with that.

He should embrace his time at Bain, and come-out of his Wall Street closet.

In the end, greed is good, amiright?

  • What would you do with a computer in your pocket?

Everyone who owns an iphone or Android smartphone has a computer in their pockets. Moreover, a networked computer with a camera, GPS, and accelerometer which can measure falling, and even a magnetometer or compass to find your way.

Millions of people have these. This being the case, how can this technology revolutionize the world, beyond merely people 'liking' something, or sending out meaningless tweets, or taking stupid pictures in front of a mirror?

Sure, the light bulb let people read at night, but it also meant factories could work after the sun went down. Likewise, the invention of refrigerators meant people didn't have to buy their food everyday, but it also means you can drink milk from hundreds of miles away.

So the smartphone is a mobile, networked computer with a microphone, camera and GPS. In the pockets of millions of people. In what ways do you think this will revolutionize the world, just like the light bulb and refrigerator did?

How will smartphones change the lives of millions of people and make life better off?

  • Why are the cute ones always crazy?

There is this girl in my graduate class, who recently graduated college, etc (meaning she's young). She's kind of cute and has a fat behind, and was someone whom, at first glance I wanted to have sex with.

However, she's crazy. But not Zoey Dechanel, quirky, flowers-in-her-hair doesn't shave crazy. No, she's kind of bi-polar. She has this front as being super-enthusiastic about everything she's into, very gregarious.

She's the type of girl who comes across as being flirtatious and sultry, but she'll deny this of course, right. Shame on you if you thought you had a chance with her. She's new-agey and "empowered" at least in her head.

But really though she's full of sh!t. She doesn't have a job, stays out 'til 4am several days out of the week, wakes up at noon, etc. But in her head, though, she's all about getting sh!t done--she's the dragon warrior. Yet she has no real life experience and knows nothing about what it actually means to work-hard and sacrifice and be resilient in the face of adversity. Moreover, the kind of men she is into are ghetto thuggish types, despite her front as some kind of student of world events and social activist and what-not.

The kind of guys she goes for have a rap-sheet, are on parole, have 2 or 3 kids, and pay child support. But in that respect, I don't judge her, I honestly believe that's who she deserves.

But, she's kind of cute, but really not remotely the hottest girl I've seen. I've dumped hotter girls than her. Yet, as a man, I'd wanted to have sex with her, of course.

In any case, at the end of a night of being out with some mutual friends, I tried to give her a kiss on the lips, of course she turns her head and says no. But the way she said no, it was as if some homeless guy was asking her for money or something.

Since then she's totally been ignoring me. The thing is I had subsequently spoken to her on the phone, and the conversation was pretty amicable, I didn't hear any anger in her voice or anything, so I thought we were on speaking terms, at least, whatever. Then, the next time I see her in person and tried talking to her. she was like: "what do you want", extremely impatient, sarcastic, rude. I tried calling her later that night and she hung-up on me. I texted her asking if I owed her money, or something to be so rude, and that I was'nt going to talk to her again.

Listen, I've been around the block a few times. I've known girls exactly like her--brash, crazy, bi-polar, high-on-life, into drama, with a love for dangerous men, but cute--and I know enough to know that they are not worth it. She is not worthy of me, and she has nothing that I want from a woman (except to have sex with her, of course), but seriously, she's selfish, egotistical, the world revolves around her, she has no life experience, no job, she's kind of chubby, etc. All she could ever offer me is heart-ache, drama, disappointment and resentment--things I do not need in my life.

tl;dr Why can't I stop thinking about some crazy-as s girl (who's not even hot) who wouldn't give me the time of day?
