What movie am I thinking of?
Okay - there's one scene that stuck in my head, but even there I don't remember all the details.
One man is about to do something in front of a bunch of people; I think he's going to be executed - but he might even just be about to give a speech.
He turns to another character and says something to the equivalent of "Would you believe it? I'm actually afraid."
This is obviously implying he didn't expect to be afraid - be it of death, people, or whatever. He then goes and does whatever it was he was going to do e.g. die, speak, etc. It's supposed to be a sort of poignant, emotional moment.
I know this isn't much to go on, but it happened near the end of story-arch. I'm really hoping this is actually a movie or tv show and not just some weird dream I had, 'cause this has been bugging me for days.
Thanks for the help!
1 個解答Movies9 年前Is cholesterol really bad for you?
I have heard information recently that claims dietary cholesterol intake, especially from eggs, is not actually harmful to your overall health. Rather, it is claimed, this is beneficial, as it will result in raised HDL levels (the good cholesterol) while not raising LDL (the bad kind) levels. Also, the article I read claimed that high cholesterol levels are not even truly harmful, and do not contribute to heart problems. It instead blames certain hydrogenated vegetable fats, amongst a number of other things, for causing arterial inflammation, which it claims to be the true health danger.
Obviously, as I, like the rest of the population, have always heard that high cholesterol levels are a danger, I don't want to take this article at face value.
What does current research-based evidence have to say on this subject? Please only answer if you have sources to back up your claims.
Thank you!
3 個解答Other - Health1 十年前What will I legally need to sell pies on a small scale?
I am hoping to bake and sell pies at my local farmers' market, in Idaho. I know these need to be made in an FDA-approved kitchen, however I don't know if I'll need anything else. Will I need special licenses or anything like that? If so, where/how might I obtain these?
Please cite sources, even if they're only personal experiences.
1 個解答Other - Food & Drink1 十年前Would THC from marijuana stay in your system longer if...?
If you ingested marijuana orally, such as through hash brownies, would it stay in your system any longer than if you smoked it? Would it stay in your system a shorter amount of time?
When I say "stay in your system", I am referring to the possibility of testing positive with a variety of drug tests (blood, urine, hair, etc.).
Please cite sources, if you think you have an answer.
2 個解答Medicine1 十年前Could I use this, instead of teeth whitening strips?
Well, I've looked at several brands of teeth whitening strips, and the ingredients are amazingly simple. In fact, the only active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide, which you can get at the drug store fairly cheap.
So, I was wondering, is there any reason why I can't just swish with hydrogen peroxide to whiten my teeth?
If that's, for whatever reason, not a good idea, would it be okay if I made a weak solution of hydrogen peroxide and water?
All I'm really wondering is if this would be corrosive or otherwise damaging to my teeth. I have no doubts that it would be effective.

What if my SAT score was 2270 (700 Reading 790 Math 780 Reading)?

If you were set to take a punch in the face, or were going to punch someone in the face that you didn't want to permanently hurt (I know it's an odd situation - just accept it), where would be the best place? Cheekbone? Jaw? Please be as specific as possible.
12 個解答Other - Sports1 十年前What will the probable consequences be?
Some friends of mine, along with myself, recently decided to climb the junior high school of the town that we live in. Unfortunately, we were caught by one of the local police whilst on top of the building. None of us was intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, and we all were very polite and cooperative. I realize that, regardless of our mental state, this was not a very intelligent thing to do, and I now wish to know what the consequences might be. Now, the police officer mentioned that we could be charged with trespassing, which I understand is a misdemeanor. This was a first offense for all of us, and I was wondering what the possible consequences might be. How would they differ for somebody under or over 18?
Thanks for any help.
2 個解答Law Enforcement & Police1 十年前What is a normal, fair percentage?
I have recently created a recipe that has quite a bit of potential, and plan to market it to the local food co-op. It is one of the larger local businesses in my town, and I plan to enter negotiations with them, as soon as I've obtained the rights to the recipe.
Now, I wish to make it clear that I do not intend to supply the store with the products to sell, but merely sell the recipe, as they make quite a bit of their own food to sell.
It is a very versatile recipe, and has a number of potentially profitable applications, which I have only begun to explore. Now, in the actual business transaction, I hope to obtain, instead of a lump sum, a percentage of the profits from the sale of products using said recipe.
What I am wondering is, what would be a typical percentage for such a negotiation. If I go too high, they'll refuse and I'll seem uninformed. Too low, and I've lost, potentially, quite a bit of money.
Any help is appreciated.
1 個解答Small Business1 十年前What's a good name for a reindeer?
I'm writing a short little Christmas-type story about Santa and his reindeer, but I need a name for a new reindeer of my own creation. What's a good name?
P.S. It should probably be two syllables, like all the others (Donner, Dasher, Comet, Rudolph, etc.)
22 個解答Christmas1 十年前What's a good name for a wine shop?
There's a wine shop near where I live which is offering a monetary prize for whomever can give them a new name. The owners select the name on the basis of whichever they like best, of course. It is a relatively average-sized shop, with a small area for eating (you can get food there, too). They make some of their own wine, and they also sell a few cheeses.
What do you think would be a good name?

Most guys have heard the whole "men have it easier because they don't get periods and they don't give birth" spiel at least once in their lives, if only in jest. Anybody have an idea of what it might have been?
8 個解答Other - Society & Culture1 十年前I think I might have a problem.?
This is kind of a weird question, but, occasionally, when I urinate, my penis has a burning sensation, and the urine feels somewhat oily, a bit like pre-seminal (sp?) fluid. Normally, I'd think that this was an STD, such as gonorrhea, but, and here's the kicker, I'm a virgin, and I've never experimented with needles. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
Also (this sounds a bit weird), on the aforementioned occasions, I also experience a smell that reminds rather strongly of sauerkraut.
Any help would be appreciated.
7 個解答Men's Health1 十年前What's the science behind eclairs (cream-puffs, etc.)?
The dough that is used in eclairs/cream-puffs is called pate a choux, or something like that. It utilizes high-protein flour (bread flour), butter, salt, sugar, eggs, and water. It is interesting in that you prepare it in a sauce-pan over heat, which somehow tricks the flour into carrying a lot of water, while still remaining workable and dough-like. After that, you add eggs until it is the right texture. What my problem is, is that when I pipe out a rack of eclairs or cream-puffs, they don't rise as much as I'd like, and the insides aren't just one big bubble, like they're supposed to be.
So, is it that I'm not using enough water, or that my flour doesn't have a high enough protein content? I'd just like to know what to do in order to get a better rise out of my pate a choux, and to get the pastries to each have just one big bubble inside.
Any help is appreciated.
