Military - do Captains like being called "Cap"?

i know that was popular in the marvel movies, but even in movies like 12 strong based on Horse Soldiers you hear Cap all the time.  just curious.

Call a Captain  "Cap" in the Navy, and you'd find yourself  reduced a pay rank, and 30 days of extra duty.

That might fly in Marvel movies.......damn sure not in real Military service.
