In Naruto, Is either Yin or Yang release stronger than any one of the 5 elements ?

Not really.  They're about on par and have their own uses.  As with any jutsu most of it just depends on individual ability, what it does and how it's used.  They all have strengths and weaknesses.  Yin and Yang are usually the weirder non-elemental type jutsu.

A Yin release example is the Nara clan's shadow manipulation which is very handy, but it's not going to stop a giant fireball hurtling towards them. A lesser genjutsu, also Yin, can be broken out of, but someone like Itachi can floor everyone with his. So it all varies.  But just the nature of being Yin or Yang doesn't mean it surpasses the other types.
