if you read my last reply then you would have the answer , either pay to fix it , or pay for a new car , yes brakes need replacing eventually .

It depends.
If you plan on keeping and driving the car, then it may be worth getting quotes to fix it.

Depends on the overall condition of the vehicle. My eleven year old car has 28,000 miles on it. I plan on keeping it at least another five years.
The main difference between an ABS and non-ABS braking system is that with ABS, you have wheel sensors that can go bad and the ABS module itself that can go bad. With the car I have, replacing the ABS module and all four wheel sensors would run about $1,200.

If you hope to sell it, yes.

That depends on why the ABS light came on. Have the ABS codes read with a real scan tool. OBD II code readers don't work for ABS codes. Depending on what your vehicle is it may just be a $30 wheel speed sensor gone bad.

If it is a car you are planning on using, yes!
Fixing a ABS brake system right is worth the few extra dollars. Driving it with a bad brake system is a violation of the law and shows a lack of common sense.
Fixing the ABS will more then likely be cheaper then replacing the car.
