I hope I would have a chance to work for you. 2.I hope to have a chance to work for you. What is the difference? The first one lacks "if" ?
The first one is an imaginary situation? A begging?
The first one is more polite?

The first one implies 'if' and refers to a hypothetical situation. If you were talking to your friend about what would happen if he were the boss, you could say, 'I hope I would have a chance to work for you.'
The second sentence implies that the person you're talking to already is the boss, or definitely will be. The only uncertain part is whether you get the chance to work for him.

Would is conditional in that it implies doubt about whether something will actually occur whereas, without it, there is an implication that it is likely to happen.

The modal auxiliary " would "used in the first sentence willingness , desire and you're right it's more polite.

'Chance' sounds too vague.
