"I want to go to Taiwan". The first sentence is dependent on something else.
I would want to go to Taiwan if......
I had the money.
I had the time.
Capital 'I', not small 'i'.

They are not the same. The first represents something you might want to do, given the chance, but the second is a clear statement of your intent to go to Taiwan.

"I want to go to Taiwan" is a statement
"I would want to go to Taiwan" is a conditional, and depends on a condition

Both are correct, but in different contexts.
Please, please 'Taiwan' and " I ", not " i ".
A more polite way to express that idea would be: "I would like to go to Taiwan."
