Feeling self conscious about weight?

I've put on bit of weight due to comfort eating.

I feel bad bout how I look, although I'm trying to turn this around.

Only thing is I feel self conscious when I'm out and worry bout bumping into people I know.

How can I feel more confident?

    If you dont act it will only get worse. Keep that in mind. Dont let the depression of being overweight, or the fear of being found out, or whatever else, force you deeper down the rabbit hole. Letting yourself wallow in your fear and stagnation will only compound the problem. It wont resolve itself on its own, and I think you know this. You are what you are. Own it. If youre found out by people you know then take pride in the fact that youre putting in the effort to change. If you do nothing, they will surely find out eventually anyway, when youre twice as big. Pride and shame shouldnt come from what you are, it should come from what you do, or dont do, given choices you face.

    Stop eating processed foods, and go organic. I could tell you a lot more, though.

    Lose weight. Stop overeating "comfort food". Go to the gym. Work HARD. When you get back in shape, you will no longer be self conscious about being overweight. Your confidence will return.

    You'll feel more confident once you've lost the weight. I'm not going to sugar coat this and say that you're fine the way you are because you're not. You don't like how you look and it makes you self-conscious. Once you start eating properly and exercising and the weight comes off, you'll feel much better about yourself and it won't have a negative impact on your social life (bumping into other people, etc.). Follow a good diet plan and exercise regularly. It won't take that long till things turn around.
