Would you consider the hip hop/rap generation retarded?
Or will this just end up like rock and roll? Or will it be so much lower than that and so much worse that there will be nothing good we can take from it in the future? Please send your thoughts.

Music is music. There are certain values to it that makes it what it is. If kids like rap music let them like rap music without being called idiots

What's with all the cynicism?
Music today is more broad than ever and judging the watered down mainstream hits isn't a good way of gauging this.
Hip Hop is the best genre at encompassing everyone at the table. I can listen to mumble rappers like Lil Uzi, and then listen to a lyrical rapper talk about him (such as Joyner Lucas' "Mask Off Remix".
Hip Hop today is a very mixed bag, a guy at home with a laptop and a microphone can make songs so you get an incredible amount of good music becaus of that, as well as a Lot of bad music. I do believe there's more of both of these.

Today's rap generation yes. They're retarded as f*ck. Mumble rap is not even real hip hop it takes no talent with most of it. Just because it sounds good doesn't mean it's good. These guys just got hard a*s beats to trick dumbasses into thinking they like it.
