Muzzleloader bullet selection?

I've got a CVA Wolf inline that I'm trying to get sighted in. Took a few shots this evening at 20 yards (just to get it on paper and get a starting point). I've attached a picture of the target.

First, does this look like my bullet is too light and not stabilizing? I'm shooting 200 grain TC Shockwaves (saboted bullet) with 2 pellets of 50/50 Pyrodex. 3 of the 5 holes in the target indicate that the bullets hit the target sideways.

Second, for those of you shooting inlines, and CVA's in particular, what kind of loads are you using for whitetail?

更新:

The gun is 50 caliber, 1:28 twist barrel. In doing more research I've found that Pyrodex pellets are directional, though many are saying they will still ignite just fine in guns using 209 primers. I can say with 90% confidence that I've been putting the pellets in backwards, is it possible that this is causing an ignition issue, which is then preventing the bullets from stabilizing?

更新 2:

I've just realized that I misunderstood the question regarding caliber. These are 45 caliber bullets in a 50 caliber sabot.

更新 3:

Shot 2 more times this evening, turning the pellets the right direction. I felt a slight perceived increase in kick, probably my imagination. Still keyholed and inaccurate, I think I'm going to switch to heavier bullets and loose powder and go after it until I get this figured out tomorrow after work.

I don't know, but all three of those bullets keyholed. Clearly, you ain't doing things right. Where did you get your load data? If you did not get it from a published reloading manual then that may be part of your problem. Are you sure you are using the correct diameter bullets?

I use 80 grains of regular Black Powder with TC Maxi balls. I found this load gives much more accuracy than 100 grains. I called TC about pellets and you are correct, They should be inserted one way only. They do not

advise using pellets unless your gun uses the 409 primers. Regular percussion caps do a poor job of igniting pellets.

I had a Wolfe but sold it and got a TC Impact but I have several of the older type but Impact is the only one with 409 primers.

Why don't you take your head out of your ***, then you could see to hit the target.
