Would the world be a better place without cell phones and computers?
I believe that instant access to information and having anyone and everyone get in contact with us 24 hours a day is not good for us. Does anyone else wish for simpler times where we could block out the world once in a while and not have it constantly intrude?

No. The world can't intrude unless you let it. I can block out the world whenever I want to. The use of phones and the internet is always at my discretion. However, the access to information and emergency services are things I would not be willing to exchange for isolation.

Perhaps. The media tells us all of the bad news, so without it we would not know about the bad stuff that is going on. :)
